Description:

This Guardian Fall Protection Competent Product Knowledge Training course is designed for those individuals who will be responsible for the selection, procurement, or sale of Fall Protection equipment.

The course will include lecture, video, and hands-on demonstration of various different categories and specific types of available Fall Protection equipment such as, but not limited to: residential anchors, commercial anchors, permanent and temporary anchorages, full body harnesses, construction harnesses, climber harnesses, lanyards, rope systems, and class A, B, and LE SRLs.

 

All students will participate in classroom and hands-on instruction that will cover:
  • Various types of anchors, body wear, lanyards, SRLs, rope systems, horizontal lifelines, and other Fall Protection equipment.
  • Applicable regulations to each category of equipment.
  • Specific criteria regarding the use and design of the equipment.
  • Demonstration of the installation of the equipment (when available).
  • Understanding the limitations of certain types of Fall Protection equipment.

 

At the completion of this course, participants will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of:

  • How to determine if the equipment is suitable for use in a particular application.
  • The applicable OSHA and other Fall Protection regulations and inspection requirements.

 

Participants will receive:

  • Course completion certificate.
  • Greater knowledge of available Fall Protection equipment.
  • Student notebook and classroom training materials.
  • Direct support from the F.I.R.S.T. Choice training team and Guardian Fall Protection.
